Summary:
The Production EDI Analyst is responsible for operating, maintaining, controlling and reporting upon the company’s production processing systems and supporting computing environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform and monitor successful completion of daily assigned production tasks
  • Monitor automated operations for successful completion, repairs when necessary, notifies customers and supporting departments of issues when necessary
  • Detect, diagnose, repair and report processing errors and problems
  • Escalate and coordinate complex processing problems
  • Perform reconciliations of work processed
  • Balance production processes and makes correction and resubmissions where necessary
  • Utilize system reports effectively to manager operational efficiency
  • Monitor file transmissions to trading partners
  • Retrieve reports and data from trading partners
  • Maintain production logs and issues lists
  • Maintain production scripts and procedures
  • Develop and maintains documentation for production procedures and processes
  • Maintain Production Tables
  • Provide support for other Support department in tracking work and researching problems or issues
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

The person successfully performing this role will exhibit the following competencies and /or meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Principles of networked computer systems and architectures; servers, operating systems and networking components in a Microsoft Windows environment.
  • Independently research, analyze, and determine appropriate course of action for complex technical solutions and problems; use hardware efficiently and effectively; write technical specifications; prioritize workload effectively; ability to work well under critical conditions; meet critical deadlines; communicate effectively with users, CareMedic management and outside vendors
  • Able to work independently and as a team member
  • Able to work non standard work hours, shifts, or extended hours if needed
  • Knowledge of Medical Industry and billing methods; DDE; Government medical regulations (i.e. HIPAA); strong data entry skills; strong analytical skills; attention to detail; dependable; excellent oral and written communications skills; knowledge of transmission protocols; Internet security requirements; Team oriented and professional attitude.
  • Excellent verbal, written, listening and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated Dependability
  • Bachelor Degree in a technical discipline preferred, and/or equivalent prior experience

 
Level I – Specific Qualifications

  • Manage daily automation functions and address operational issues as required
  • 1-2 Years experience with EDI and Healthcare transaction processing
  • Can understand and react to most issues affecting production systems, some supervision and daily/weekly oversight is required.
